Mr. M. Ashraf Haidari serves as the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Sri Lanka, leading the Afghan Embassy in Colombo. In this capacity, he represents Afghanistan at the highest diplomatic level and oversees the embassy’s diplomatic, administrative, and consular functions, while working to strengthen bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

As Ambassador, Mr. Haidari is responsible for advancing political dialogue, promoting economic, cultural, and regional cooperation, and safeguarding the interests of Afghanistan and its citizens in Sri Lanka. His role focuses on fostering constructive diplomatic engagement, enhancing mutual cooperation, and upholding the embassy’s mandate as the official diplomatic mission of Afghanistan in Colombo.
